Holodex, New Porn Star Portal Debuts

LONDON — Holodex, a new porn star portal announced its launch today.

Created in conjunction with five Los Angeles adult talent agencies, Holodex describes itself as the “first free porn portal to be giving back” by sharing a large percentage of its affiliate-generated profits with performers and agencies that provide content for the site.

The new website is launching with more than 1 million videos and photos, galleries, websites, DVDs, personal photos, blogs and more.

Holodex explained that more the performers use and promote the platform the quicker they will see a financial return on their efforts.

Verified performers gain a login for their profile that allows them to update their information, create blogs, upload personal photos or update their Wishlist, Facebook, MySpace and Twitter information.

The company maintained that its new business model has “unparalleled communication with more than 400 adult performers.”

Talent can publish content on social networking sites, upload, manage and sell personal videos, sell items at auction and create bespoke iPhone and Android apps to manage content.

“Using these contacts and our industry-leading platform we are aiming to revolutionize the ways in which the public access adult content as well as generating brand new revenue streams for both performers and agencies,” Holodex said.

Addressing the benefits to fans, the company said, “It’s not just about quality content — it’s also about getting personal with your favorite stars. This is the first time the public has access to such a broad range of content in one place."

The company also noted that it will be launching a mobile version of the site within a couple of weeks.

Performers who wish to have access can follow @holodex on Twitter and they will be contacted.
